The boy and I are living in the cutest apartment in the Fan. The Fan! The old, historic and beautiful Fan - the most desired location in the whole-entire city of Richmond, if not the world itself. I am in a close proximity to the best that Richmond has to offer. I am in the Museum District. I can walk to Carytown. I can become a regular at the Racine. Run in pretty neighborhoods. Walk a few blocks over to see a friend and borrow a cup of sugar... And when I have a minute to breathe, I can live the happy and carefree life of an artsy (or should i say nerdy) hipster that I sometimes pretend to be.

I just don't know what to say... the wonderfully jaded woman I knew has become an "artsy hipster"? What ever are they teaching you at school? Maybe I can understand; but what about your neighbors in the masif? For the love of G-d, WHAT ABOUT THE MASIF??????? ehhh, just busting your "balls"... it looks like a nice place. But really, what is the point of living in the south when there is a Starbucks where the King's chicken and waffles should be?

What ABOUT masiv? And who did as much as mention Starbucks? I do not think that even the South, with its greasy spoon diners, friiiiied chicken and waffles has been able to escape the clutches of Starbucks. Or should I move to Kentucky?

And then, notice the careful use of syntax here when it comes to artsy hipster - "pretend to be" does not equal to actual "being", does it?

As for the "wonderfully jaded woman" that you used to know, I would also like to find out what happened to her as well. I miss her too, you know. I caught a glimpse of her for a little bit while I was in Yerevan... but then, she disappeared again. Maybe I do not need to move anywhere else BUT masiv to find her again?

Wait a couple of posts - I have a story to tell...
